Guillem Matallanas is a designer born in Barcelona. After working as an architect in his hometown for several years, he moved to London in 2015 to study graphic design at the LCC and then worked in this area.
Guillem's main interest is dealing with various areas such as the geometry of patterns or optical illusions caused by overlays. In his designs, he examines how the repetition of simple geometric shapes combined with the subtle use of lines and primary colors can create compositions that suggest volume and movement. His designs do not reflect a particular aesthetic style, but rather are the result of his personal interests and formal research. Screen printing is the technique of his choice, which enables him to manually adjust each of the color layers to the millimeter and thus create the desired effects.
